Speaking Machine Labs is a research lab of MeetStream. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

These terms cover the Site only. Use of MeetStream's products and APIs is governed by the MeetStream Terms of Use and any agreement you have with us.

1. About the Site

The Site describes our research. Descriptions of research programs, models, benchmarks and plans are statements of current intent. They may change or stop without notice, and they are not an offer of any product or service, or a promise that any result will be achieved or published.

2. Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, code and other content of the Site, and the names and logos "Speaking Machine Labs" and "MeetStream", belong to MeetStream or its licensors and are protected by law. Archival images on the Site are in the public domain, and we claim no rights in the original works. Our toned versions and the arrangement of the Site remain ours.

You may view the Site and share links to it. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not otherwise copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Site's content without our written permission.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others;
• try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or the systems that host it, or interfere with its operation;
• use automated means to access the Site in a way that puts an unreasonable load on it;
• use our names or logos to suggest that we endorse you or your products.

4. Messages, ideas and applications

If you send us ideas, feedback or proposals, you agree that we have no duty to keep them confidential unless we have agreed so in writing, and that we may use them without obligation to you. This does not apply to personal data in job applications, which we handle as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Links to other sites

The Site links to websites that we do not control, such as research papers and archives. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, UNINTERRUPTED OR FREE OF ERRORS OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, MEETSTREAM AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify MeetStream against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the Site, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing in this section removes rights that you have under the mandatory consumer laws of your country.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision. If you continue to use the Site after a revision, you accept the revised terms.

11. General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not waive it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
